The Chiyaan has got two more reasons to celebrate the victory of his recent offering Deiva Thirumagal. The AL Vija’s directorial venture recently got nominated to the Osaka Asian Film Festival in Japan and won two prestigious awards.
It bagged the Grand Prix Award for Best Film and Best Entertainer of the Festival Award as well. Vikram and Vijay were in Japan in person and found themselves on cloud nine having won the honors at the international event. Deiva Thirumagal starred Anushka Shetty, Amala Paul, Santhanam and Baby Sarah in the other lead roles.
It is all about the story of a mentally challenged middle aged man, played by Vikram, who fights for the custody of his daughter (Sarah). The film received tremendous response from the public and the critics alike and won the actor accolades for his outstanding performance in the challenging character.
